As part of the Chicago Sound Show at University of Chicago for the Smart Museum in 2019, Indiana Karst, a site-specific multi channel sound installation, was in the walkway between Pick Hall and Walker Museum. The source sounds were recorded in Indiana limestone caves, then diffused through several speakers along the walkway. The title and sounds refer to the limestone material which constitutes much of the architecture on the University of Chicago. Architectural limestone fragments from campus buildings were carved out and utilized to house the speakers, filtering the cave water droplet sounds through the limestone surfaces.
